FIB of the Golden IMAX!

When you go to a movie theater these days.  You are confronted with a choice.  IMAX 3D or regular screens.  It's all funny.  Because after you get the movie going your mind does not care about 16x9 versus 4x3.  But I do.  When I go to a theater I see the whole screen not just the insides of the frame.  Most movie goers watch the insides only.  When a movie is really well made then I will be absorbed by the story.  That is few and far in between.  I noticed this with the introduction of IMAX to Hollywood movies.  The screen would go to IMAX and back down again.  And it was taking me out of the movie.  I talked to others about this and they did not notice it.  So when I went with them.  I said see that-- now that.  They were not happy with me showing them that.  They started to feel ripped off.  I was not telling them about it so they could feel ripped off.  This was a strange thing ...

Doc Doom is Coming

When find myself starting a new business venture or selling a new idea.  I always get "the friend" from school or work, saying. "Nope, not going to have it." Why are 'nay-sayers' so sure about their opinions.  Who died and made them Nay.  I don't get it.  Why not say, if anyone can make it work-- its you.  Or,  tried that last year to no avail but you a better man than me!  Or sounds good let's do it!  On and on they, the 'Nay-sayers' are always trying to stop American progress.  But the opposite also happens.  When there is a gun scare, suddenly.  The government can ban all weapons.  Huh?  They can?  When?  This idea no one is saying, "Nope, not going to happen." Instead anyone who has a gun, I mean weapon is buying another AR-15 or what have you.  They all believe this idea???  Why?  I am the lone voice that says, "Nope, not going to happen." Sure, Mister Atrocity you ...

Curse of the "Out of Town" Prophet.

What I find  most disturbing-- is the people who are the closest to you,  are never the 'good judge' of your own real worth. It seems 'Only strangers--' understand what you are really all about. The saying, "...that a "prophet is his own land is never heard." Is an axiom that is true today, as it was long ago.    No one who witnesses a friend, 'growing up' thinks-- that friend is worthy of being heard. Or is an expert of anything at all and especially nothing special.  Special never comes from within the city limits but always comes from-- 'over the hill.' But never right there in front of us. The real truth is that the thing or person we care about the most. Is the thing or person we take for granted-- the most.    We wake to a world that is alive with color and sound but no one has the time, to see or hear this wonderful rocky enclave. We are just too busy. To damn deaf and mad blind to try to "smell the roses." Mo...
